Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of WebCited at webcited.xyz(the "Service"), operated by WebCited ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

WebCited measures how visible a website is to AI answer engines. Results are estimates produced by probing third-party AI engines and are provided for informational purposes. Because AI answers change over time and between runs, we make no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or any particular outcome.

Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Unverified accounts may be removed after 30 days.

Acceptable use

• Only scan websites you own or have permission to analyze.
• Do not abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to bypass limits of the Service.
• Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights.

Credits & payments

Paid scans consume prepaid credits. Credits are purchased through Dodo Payments and are non-refundable except where required by law. Each scan deducts the underlying AI cost plus a markup; your balance must be positive to start a new scan. Anonymous users get a limited number of free scans.

Subscriptions

Paid plans (such as Pro) are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Dodo Payments and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change plan pricing or features with reasonable notice.

Intellectual property

The Service, its code, and branding belong to us. You retain ownership of the websites and content you submit; you grant us a limited license to process them to deliver the Service.

Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties (including AI answer engines, payment, hosting, and authentication providers). Their availability and behavior are outside our control, and their own terms apply to the parts of the Service they power.

Disclaimer & liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months.

Termination & changes

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts located in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you other rights.
